ALTF4 is a premium action game for PC that was developed by Autosavegame. It's an endless runner that features 3D graphics and is set in medieval times where players take on the role of a knight tasked with overcoming various a course full of obstacles and traps.

Just like with Dark Deception or Mirror's Edge Catalyst, ALTF4 is a game that will test players' reaction times and reflexes in various and challenging ways. It's played in a third-person perspective and boasts nice graphics, complex traps, and ragdoll physics to make the experience much more immersive.

What is it about?

ALTF4 is a straightforward game with a simple premise. It is set in medieval times and you play, as the developers would describe it, a clumsy knight. It features endless runner-type gameplay, with you having to maneuver your way through an obstacle course filled with deadly traps and harsh terrain. It also utilizes perma-death mechanics, meaning if you fail, you will have to start from the beginning again.

Gameplay is where ALTF4 truly shines, providing you with a good bit of challenge for your money. Various traps are scattered all throughout the course, and they are complex and well-designed. They range from deadly blades and axes that can slice you at any time to flamethrowers that are ready to roast you, and rampaging animals that throw you around all over the place like a ragdoll.

While it mostly plays out well, there are some things that could use more tweaking, most notably how its ragdoll physics are implemented. Depending on the scenario, it can trigger in odd ways that result in awkward and "janky" animations. Also, note that the game is still in Early Access, hence it's not the full experience and is subject to various changes as updates roll in.

A quirky and challenging time

All in all, ALTF4 is an interesting endless running that shows potential. The premise is simple and the gameplay is easy enough to learn. Mastering it is another thing entirely as you try to time and dodge your way through the whole ordeal. It's still rough around the edges, but it's working checking out.
